Da Yiyao

ADC Annual Awards Gold Cube winner  Da Yiyao is an illustrator based in China, finished her Master's Degree from University of Southampton (Winchester School of Art). 

Yiyao is good at hand-painting free styles in poetic atmosphere, and she pursues the rich and delicate textures created by mixed media. Her most inspirations are from real life experience and fantastic daydreams. Yiyao also enjoys music, books and travel besides drawing. As a cat person, she creates a series of children’s picture books based on her cat and daily life.

Yiyao creates both text and illustrations for picture books with China Light Industry Press, makes books for publishers such as Zhejiang Children's Publishing House and Beijing Lixue Media Co. ltd., provides illustrations for commercial projects like calendars for Douban and TV posters for Fangxing Media. She pursues long-term collaboration with clients.
